What is the difference between polyurea and epoxy floor coatings?

Question

Epoxy and polyurea are different coating technologies with different performance characteristics. The durability of either system depends on the specific products, concrete preparation and installation process.

Fortress Floors Midwest Pro uses a 100% solids polyurea base coat with a protective polyaspartic topcoat. This system is designed to provide a durable, flexible and UV-stable finish for residential concrete surfaces.

Our coating system is marketed as four times stronger than epoxy. When comparing contractors, ask which products they use and what performance claims apply to the complete installed system.
